I guess if they don’t make any promises, users can’t exactly be disappointed, right? The unit is supported by a limited 3-year warranty and has a “Designed in California, USA” logo as well (whatever that means). The back of the unit features very little in the way of information – after all, there’s nothing exciting about the “bottom end” SATA SSD nowadays. I’m not sure that’s being entirely honest … now that PCIe 5.0 SSDs are on the market that are more than 10x faster than this could ever wish to be. It has a blue colour scheme and somehow has “High Performance” with a 7/9 “pluses” rating on the front. The drive comes in a retail hanging colour-cardboard package with plastic bubble. But it may still be good enough for many uses … The SSD The SSD price crash has well and truly arrived! The downside? It’s SATA III, it’s DRAM-less and it’s probably bottom-of-the-barrel QLC. Add to this the fact that I’m paying out of accumulated gift cards with cashbacks ranging from 4-12%, that makes this a very economical drive.
